Certificate Status Definitions

🟢 Active: The certificate is fully valid. The holder meets all current compliance and ongoing education requirements.
🟡 Suspended: The certificate is temporarily invalidated, usually due to a pending annual review or missing Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The holder is granted a grace period to rectify the status.
🔴 Revoked: The certificate has been permanently cancelled due to professional misconduct, submission of falsified documents, or failure to rectify a suspension.
⚫ Expired: The certificate has passed its expiration date and the holder has not applied for recertification.
Validity & Recertification: > WFSAS certifications are typically valid for a period of 3 years. To maintain an “Active” status, certificate holders must submit proof of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and apply for renewal at least 60 days prior to the expiration date.
“If you have any objections to the results of the certificate verification or the certification assessment decision, or wish to lodge a complaint regarding the professional conduct of a certificate holder, please submit a written appeal within [30] working days of the date on which the decision was made.
Appeal procedure: Download and complete the ‘WFSAS Certification Appeal Application Form’ and send it to the compliance email address: compliance@wfsas.org. The Compliance Committee will process the appeal within [5] working days of receipt and issue a final ruling within [30] working days.”
