Certificate Status Definitions
To verify the standing of a credential, please refer to the status indicated in your search results:
🟢 Active: The certificate is fully valid. The holder meets all current compliance and ongoing education requirements.
🟡 Suspended: The certificate is temporarily invalidated, usually due to a pending annual review or missing Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The holder is granted a grace period to rectify the status.
🔴 Revoked: The certificate has been permanently cancelled due to professional misconduct, submission of falsified documents, or failure to rectify a suspension.
⚫ Expired: The certificate has passed its expiration date and the holder has not applied for recertification.
Validity & Recertification: > WFSAS certifications are typically valid for a period of 3 years. To maintain an “Active” status, certificate holders must submit proof of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and apply for renewal at least 60 days prior to the expiration date.
“If you have any objections to the results of the certificate verification or the certification assessment decision, or wish to lodge a complaint regarding the professional conduct of a certificate holder, please submit a written appeal within [30] working days of the date on which the decision was made.
Appeal procedure: Download and complete the ‘WFSAS Certification Appeal Application Form’ and send it to the compliance email address: compliance@wfsas.org. The Compliance Committee will process the appeal within [5] working days of receipt and issue a final ruling within [30] working days.”
“To uphold the integrity and authority of our certification process, this Association regularly publishes a list of certificates that have been revoked or suspended due to non-compliance or failure to undergo annual inspection. (Note: The Association reserves the right to pursue legal action against any party found to be using its certificates without authorisation.)”
“1. This verification system is intended solely for checking genuine certificates officially issued by WFSAS. Certificates issued by any third-party organisation under the Association’s name cannot be verified through this system.
2. The results of the query are subject to the system’s real-time database. In the event of temporary data discrepancies caused by network delays or system maintenance, please refer to the official email confirmation.
3. This system does not disclose the certificate holder’s sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers or specific salary details); it only publishes the holder’s name, certificate type, certificate number and expiry date.”
